JOINING MAINE NIHOA

To join Maine NIHOA, applicants must:

  • Have at least 3 years of officiating experience through another officiating organization (another NIHOA chapter, USA Hockey, NCAA, etc)
  • Have 3 referrals, including one from a current Maine NIHOA member
  • Satisfactorily pass a skating and preliminary evaluation (usually completed during the first week of pre-season tournaments)
  • Complete the application and meet the background requirements as set forth by the Maine Principal's Association. The application is available to print or to be submitted electronically.
